Otter Creek Leather, run by the exceptionally talented craftsman Joe Roberts. He is known in our community for his masterful leatherwork, which has even earned recognition at the Carnegie Arts Center. Joe approached me with a goal close to his heart—to bring his intricate leather creations to the online world and reach more customers. I was thrilled to help transform his vision into a beautiful, functional e-commerce platform that reflects the artistry and quality of his work.
The design for Otter Creek Leather’s website became one of my favorite projects to date, thanks to a gorgeous color palette inspired by the rich tones of leather. The earthy, warm hues set a professional yet inviting tone, welcoming users to explore Joe’s craft while complementing the natural beauty of his handmade products.
The website is crafted to highlight Joe’s wide range of products, from custom belts and purses to wallets and saddle repairs. Each page is designed to mirror the same level of care and attention he pours into his work. Visitors can explore the craftsmanship through detailed imagery and clear layouts, ensuring the artistry is front and center.
Customization is at the heart of Joe’s business, so I integrated commission forms seamlessly into the website. Whether customers need a unique leather wallet, a handcrafted belt, or a saddle repaired, they can easily request and personalize projects with these intuitive forms.
To make managing his business effortless, I connected the site to Square POS. Now, Joe can intuitively handle his inventory, send out estimates and invoices for custom orders, and even take payments in person with ease. It’s a system as smooth as the leather he works with.
Otter Creek Leather’s website now beautifully bridges the gap between tradition and technology, offering a streamlined shopping experience for customers while embodying the craftsmanship and spirit of Joe’s work. The site allows his artistry to shine, turning visitors into admirers and admirers into loyal customers.
